Scrip Program
What is Scrip? Scrip is gift cards/certificates that you can use at specific merchants in place of money. You purchase the gift cards/certificates from OLA and the school earns a specific percentage of that purchase. What you pay for the scrip is the amount of purchase power you have; i.e. Stater Bros. – You pay $50.00, you can purchase $50.00 in merchandise at Stater Bros., and the school earns 6%. Percentages vary by merchant. This program is a wonderful fundraiser for our school. The more scrip you purchase, the more money the school earns and you are not out any money at all. We encourage all families to get in the habit of buying scrip for ALL your shopping needs and to encourage family and friends to buy scrip, too. Their purchases can be counted toward your scrip requirement if they give us your name when buying the scrip.
This year, for your convenience, we have added additional ways for you to obtain your scrip. You may email your scrip order , use our convenient order form, or fax an order (see form links below)to the school (909/398-1395) – These orders will be filled the same day if the scrip is in stock or as soon as the stock is received. You may bring a check in when you pick up your order, or send a check with your child and we will send the order home with them – your choice.
Gift giving has never been easier for those hard to shop for friends and relatives. Our large variety of scrip means you can stop by and buy gift cards/certificates for interesting places without running all over town.
Holiday Time we stock seasonal scrip like See’s Candy and Honeybaked Hams. Ordering ahead helps ensure you will get what you need. At the beginning of the year, we carry Dennis Uniform Scrip, but we always run out, so ordering what you need guarantees your order.
We also offer an electronic scrip program (referred to as eScrip), which can be used at a variety of participating merchants (including VONS), instead of paper scrip. For more information, please see the guidelines on the following pages.
