SLE of the week: Be a faithful
Catholic who participates faithfully in memorized and spontaneous prayers.
Important News:
I hope everyone had a wonderful relaxing
Mother’s Day weekend. It was exciting to
see so many of our families enjoying themselves at the Fiesta.
I will not be teaching this Friday, May 18th
and Monday, May 21st. My
daughter Sammy will be competing in a cheer competition in Las Vegas. Please keep us in your prayers so that we
travel safely and that she can lead her team to victory!

Language
Arts- We are
now into our second week of Theme 9 in our series. The phonics focus will be on adding es to nouns. Please
reinforce with your child that a noun is a word that names a person, place, or
thing.
Spelling- dishes, dresses, boxes, beaches,
wishes, kisses, classes, and brushes.
Math- Our chapter on measurement is
continuing and we are learning about weight.
Also, in centers I will be working with the children on two digit
addition such as 25+13.
Science- We are switching back to science
and we will be learning about rocks.
Religion- Chapter 23 We talk to God thru prayer. This chapter focuses on the importance of
prayer and praying as a family. We will
also be reading Growing in Love Chapter 3.
Look for the pamphlet in your child’s backpack on Thursday. Last week’s pamphlet was completed in class.
