Decathlon

2011 Decathlon Team

This annual competition is held in early Spring and is open to schools with students in grades 6th – 8th in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. A team of ten (10) students and alternates are chosen based on their ITBS scores, report cards and teacher recommendations. The members compete in the following subject areas: Religion, Mathematics, Logic, Literature, English/Spelling, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Current Events, and a team Super Quiz. Coaching and preparation take place before/during/after school hours from September through the competition date. The moderator is Mrs. Debbie Buffum, supported by many teachers as coaches.
